Applicant must reside in the jurisdiction of the Sheriff-Coroner of Placer County and have proof of residency. CCW Application Procedure Handout Criteria for issuing CCW Successfully complete 8 hour CCW training class. Qualified training centers in your area. Training Centers Schedule appointment by calling (530)889-7800. At the time of your appointment, bring the following to our Auburn office Your completed"Standard Application for License to Carry a Concealed Weapon (CCW)"DOJ CCW permit application (pdf). Up to three Unloaded weapons you wish to register. Livescan fingerprinting will be conducted at the time of your appointment, and the normal fingerprinting fee is included in the $210.00 CCW application fee. The permit is only valid in California for two years from the issued date.
