Authorities Using LEXIPOL policiesSTOP PRESS:Team Billy Jack now believes that the majority of the nearly 400 LEO departments in California are using LEXIPOL policies. If you are considering whether (or not) your authority is one of these, we suggest contacting us before proceeding further. Remember: The LEXIPOL policy is not, itself, illegal. However, it does make it very difficult for departments to issue CCW's to deserving applicants. Therefore, departments often "cut corners" to issue to "Friends of the Sheriff/Chief." This is definitely illegal under the 14th.
